3 Reasons To Hire A Wedding Photography Studio

If you’re reading this, you’ve likely begun planning your wedding, and you’ve managed to overcome your first two big milestones – a date and a venue. Congratulations! Now on to your next big adventure…

Finding the perfect wedding photographer!

You want someone whose style you love and whose values align with yours. Someone who will capture all of the candid moments and every small important detail of your big day. A photographer who will produce honest, heart-felt, beautiful photos that you will cherish forever.

No pressure.

We know that the sheer number of photographers alone can feel daunting. So, we thought it might help to start by separating wedding photographers into two categories: independent photographers and studios.

But before we dive into all of the beautiful reasons Sungold Studios is your perfect solution, let’s start by addressing what is probably your first question:

What is a photography studio?

Technically, a photography studio is:

“A business owned and represented by one or more photographers, possibly accompanied by assistants and pupils, who create and sell their own photos.”

But, the words photography studio may invoke visions of a large network of photographers, where all your wants and needs end up getting lost. Where you’re handed off from person to person and treated like another wedding in their studio’s queue. Or perhaps the idea that because there are multiple photographers, you won’t get the same style photos that drew you to the studio in the first place.

And, sure…while that may be true for some studios, with us, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Here’s why:

Our studio is made up of four highly experienced and established luxury wedding photographers. As a result, you’ll receive the intentional, authentic, and quality experience you deserve.

And with that… we’d love to share the top three reasons you should hire a wedding photography studio:

1. Say “I Do” to the Back Up Plan

Any experienced event planner knows you can’t plan an outdoor wedding without a well-thought-out backup plan. As wedding photographers, we like to take the same tactical approach.

It’s less about ever actually needing one and more about having the plan and the peace of mind in case you DO.

If you’re considering an independent photographer for your wedding, you may be wondering what this plan looks like. Right?

Our studio is comprised of a team of photographers whose style is consistent and cohesive. Basically, you have a built-in security net of four photographers – all with the same values and style. So, if it were ever needed, you would have another team member ready to jump in. As a team, we’ll ensure that you receive the care and attention you deserve. No matter what!

2. A Team Made Up of Specialists

While some associate studios may have photographers just starting or operating as assistants…you won’t find any rookies here. We have a combined 40 years of experience as photographers and over 500 weddings between us.

From the very beginning, we’ll take time to get to know you, your love story, and your style. Then, we’ll match you up with the perfect photographer for you.

And because our studio is designed so that we have one person dedicated to the ins and outs of the business itself, your photographer is free to focus solely on you and what they love… Photography!

We’ll guide you through a planning process that is streamlined and easy, nailing down every last detail. And, we’ll ask lots of questions. We’ll also help you with your wedding day timeline, so all of the details and logistics on the day of your wedding will be crystal clear. Our goal is to not have to ask you any questions on your wedding day because we’ve already made sure to answer these ahead of time.

Ultimately, we aim to keep you happy and relaxed on your big day!

And should any unforeseen challenges arise, this is not our first rodeo! We know how to think on our feet and handle situations on the fly. {i.e., we’re not panicking because “it doesn’t say that on the timeline!”}.

3. Collective Knowledge

What sets us apart most from other photographers is the collective experience we have and how we employ this to make each other better as a team.

We teach each other, and we build on each other’s strengths.

So, rather than having one set way of doing things, it’s a collaboration and a combined effort. The way we see it, it’s better to have two (or four) heads than one.

It’s also important to know that we happen to find each other’s company super fun. We have this way of seamlessly knowing what’s happening with each other. We just get each other.

With Sungold Studio you have a whole family looking out for you. And we believe this truly makes the photography and the day even more successful. And that is a beautiful thing.
